OPW Engineered Systems To Introduce "Jump-On"
D4 API Bottom-Loading Coupler At ILTA Show
Lebanon, OH – OPW Engineered Systems, a leading manufacturer of systems for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of hazardous materials, and a division of OPW Fluid Transfer Group, is pleased to announce that the release of its next generation 1004D4 API Bottom-Loading Coupler will coincide with the International Liquid Terminals Association’s 2009 Conference and Trade Show, which is scheduled for June 8-10 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX.
The release of the new D4 Coupler, which comes on the heels of OPW Engineered Systems' successful release of the D3 Coupler in late 2008, is the latest addition to OPW's family of industry-leading API Bottom-Loading Couplers. The D4 Coupler has been designed to combine easy maintenance with an innovative spring-loaded sleeve design that makes operating and servicing the couplers extremely easy.
The D4 also offers several new features that make it the industry's most user-friendly bottom-loading coupler available today. Among these advanced features are:
Semi-Automatic Design - Sleeve is spring-energized to automatically "jump" onto the adaptor.
Easy Maintenance - An innovative shaft stuff-box design provides the easiest maintenance of any coupler on the market, with no special tools required.
No Drive Pins - The drive pins have eliminated from the D4's design to improve serviceability.
Five-Cam InterDelock sign - Five-cam design ensures tight connections and security at all times.
Compatibility - Components use a new fluorocarbon blend for construction that is compatible with most fuel blends, including gasoline, diesel, biodiesel and ethanol.
OPW Engineered Systems is also offering a 1004D4 SRK Seal Replacement Kit that includes all of the components needed to replace the seals in the 1004D3 API Bottom-Loading Coupler. These seal-replacement kits are recommended as spare parts. Seal Replacement Kits are available for D4 Couplers that utilize seals made with Buna N 1500, Fluorocarbon and EPT E 692 materials.
OPW Engineered Systems will be located in booth #233 at the ILTA show.
